Sketches for counter-height chairs. See notes and examples. I am happy to provide more information if you need it, or make another attempt at better sketches!

This sketch shows a base that uses 1 3/4" exhaust tubing that is wrapped, and finished at the bottom with exhaust tips.  The foot ring would be 1" chrome tubing.  The base could also be made with handlebar-sized tubing (1 1/8" or 1 1/4" diameter) in chrome or powder coat in color choice. The bottom could be finished with handlebar grips in choice of style. The chrome mufflers that serve as arm rests at the end of the wrapped exhaust tubing can as short at 12" and as long as 30". The center column that connects the base to the seat/back assembly would contain a swivel. Parts that I normally paint or powder coat in black, can also be any other color.

Example of a chair with a wrapped exhaust. The particular mufflers used here are on the long side. Shorter mufflers could be used to maintain a smaller footprint for the chairs. The chair also has embossed leather cushions with company logo. Another option for customizing.

View of a chair with shorter mufflers on stainless steel exhaust tubing that is not wrapped. This also shows some detail of the mechanics of the spine of the chair, and how a column would look.

Handlebars could be used for arm rests in place of exhaust tubing and mufflers. We can make our own 'handlebars' to suit the ergonomics of the chair. This pic also shows simple handlebar grips that could be used on a handlebar base.

This shows a back view of a chair that uses polished aluminum diamond plate cushion backing, and the use of those black rubber fork boots. Note that the chrome tubes on chairs made in the future would not extend as far as the ones on this chair.

Part of a series of durable and comfortable furniture pieces made with motorcycle wheels, handlebars, exhaust, forks and other components, our chairs are well suited to many commercial or residential spaces.

I have been designing and building furniture from reused bicycle parts for over 20 years, and have closely studied the works of some great furniture designers.  This experience has given me a good sense as to what makes a chair comfortable.

Working with motorcycles is something I have wanted to do for a long time, but did not have the same access to motorcycle parts as I do to bicycle parts.
That changed in late 2011 when I was commissioned to build a set of furniture pieces using Harley-Davidson motorcycle parts for a commercial client. That set was to be used in the Harley-Davidson Insurance booth at the 12 city International Motorcycle Shows.

We can make any of our designs in quantity for restaurants, bars, hotels, offices, wherever.
We can also make them with any brand or style of motorcycle parts. Customizing options are endless.
