S-6 Barstool with back

$650.00

The S-6 Barstool is constructed of chromed steel bicycle rims that have been uniformly contoured before welding. We use recycled rims when possible, but we are also using new rims.

This listing is for cushions that are upholstered in black vinyl, but this barstool is also available with cushions made with other colors or materials, including leather or inner-tubes.
Seat height is approximately 29", but we can make it up to 30" or as low as 26" at customer's request. Width is 22", and depth is also 22". Overall height is approximately 40".

The S-6 Barstool is named after the formidable S-6 rim, which was produced by the Schwinn Bicycle Company and was used on their tank-like, and ubiquitous Varsity model.

This happens to be my first barstool design and also my favorite. All of the rims used on this piece are intact, with no cuts made. It was a commission by a customer in Chicago in 1997.

We also make a matching table.
This piece is made to order. Please allow 4-6 weeks for construction.
